The Sartorialist

So while I'm still in the early stages of this blog I want to introduce some of my influences in hopes that they become influential to you too.

One such influence is The Sartorialist. He started this blog just to show who he thought looked great.

So it's become more than that, he has a column for GQ, and now recently came out with a book. I think what makes him influential is that his photography is top notch and his observations about people and their style aren't simple. He delves deeper than most.

ex: It is great to find a DB sportcoat that actually feels sporty.

Usually they are too long, too square, and too boring.

The big trick to why this jacket looks so cool is how slim the sleeve is in the upper arm.

If there is one alteration that guys don't do enough it is having the sleeves slimmed down on a suit. That separation between upper arm and chest drops ten pounds on the look of an average guy - try it you'll see.

So give his blog a read or a look, its worth it.
